Hoje vou estar comentando sobre games que envolvem wrestling de alguma maneira ou outra.

Para os viciados em games, não é exatamente incomum encontrar referências á wrestling nos jogos, incluindo muitos clássicos possuem referências e personagens wrestlers.

Só que muitos deles são referências bem claras e evidentes de quais wrestlers estão sendo 'homenageados'.

Vou começar com um clássico dos jogos de luta do estilo Beat'em up, os famosos jogos de porradeiro de passar de fase, enfim, começo com Final Fight.

Um dos personagens que se escolhe é um wrestler, Mike Haggar, prefeito de Metro City e wrestler aposentado, que resolveu acertar as contas com as gangues da cidade na base do murro.

Esse personagem, me é uma clara referência à Jesse 'The Body' Ventura, ex-wrestler e hoje vive no mundo da política, e já foi inclusive governador do estado de Minnesota (EUA). A semelhança de Mike Haggar e Jesse Ventura também se reflete no visual de Haggar que tem características físicas e de feição de Ventura, a única diferença gritante é que Ventura é careca.

E ainda no Final Fight encontramos mais referências ao wrestling. Uma das maiores é o exército de gigantes da gangue inimiga que genericamente são chamados de Andore, que são uma referência clara à Andre the Giant. Seguem aí umas imagens pra comparação:



E mais no jogo Final Fight, um dos chefões é encarado num ringue, numa luta valendo armas e coisas mais.


Outro jogo com referências óbvias à figurões do wrestling é Vendetta, que um dos personagens selecionáveis não é menos que um clone do Hulk Hogan, e outro personagem é um clone do Mr.T, que também teve sua passagem na WWF.
